The Slaughter Family (originally from Charlottesville, VA.)

James Nicholas Slaughter (1882 - 1961) and Harriett Gibbs Slaughter (1890 - 1975) of Charlottesville, VA have left a long, long legacy. Their 12 children are:

An Anniversary to Remember -- The Forrestal

On July 29th, 43 yrs. ago, I experienced the most hellish time of my young 18 year old life and since to my 61st year. This is the day and time my ship went through the worst naval tragedy since WW II. I would ask of our Slaughter clan to remember my fallen shipmates and thank God for those of us who survived.
